Hill Country Mile Highlights

The Hill Country Mile is a stretch of locally owned businesses along Boerne’s beautiful Main Street. When walking along the Hill Country Mile, you will find everything from clothing boutiques and specialty stores, to restaurants with some of the best food around. Here are some of our favorite spots on the Hill Country Mile!

Where to Stay

Ye Kendall InnEver since it’s start in the mid 1800’s, Ye Kendall Inn has been the home of great food, hospitality and lodging. This recently renovated Inn has everything a tourist might need, and is only steps away from the idyllic Cibolo Creek as well as Boerne’s Hill Country Mile.

Where to Shop

The Dienger Trading Co – The Dienger’s boutique carries a variety of goods, ranging from women’s fashion and jewelry, men’s clothing and accessories, children’s outfits and classic toys, and treasures to add a soft touch to your home. The Dienger’s Bookstore also carries a variety of books, from the bestselling fiction novels, the most decadent cookbooks, and the most inspiring Christian reads.

Fickle Pickles –  Carousel Antiques & Fickle Pickles was founded in 1987 by Billie A. Shaw. The Antiques soon became a backdrop to Mrs. Shaw’s Fickle Pickles®, and is now a local and tourist favorite! You cannot walk the Hill County Mile without trying a fickle pickle!

Fickle Pickle

Ella Blue – Ella Blue has been a staple on the Hill Country Mile for 15 years now. If you ask us, it is our favorite spot in Boerne to get cute and on trend clothes!

Flashback FuntiquesYes, Boerne is full of Antique Stores, but Flashback Funtiques is not your typical antique store. While they do sell old stuff, they’re know to carry more unique, fun and one-of-a-kind items.

A Little Nature Store – Filled with cute bird feeders and other nature-esque accessories, A Little Nature Store is a unique stop along the Hill Country Mile. When you’re done in the store, take a walk through their picturesque garden!

Cielo Mercantile – Step through the door of Cielo and discover a fragrant, magical apothecary housed in what was once the town’s original post office. The shop’s heavenly mix of exquisite soaps, toiletries and home fragrance items are handcrafted on site in small batches. These delightful products have earned a loyal following from coast to coast for their gentle quality and remarkable essences.

Fetch and Friskers Barkery and Bow-tique – This cute little pet store makes all of their treat in house. Not only do they carry the cutest pet clothes, they also have quite the variety of leashes, collars, toys, & pet beds. When you stop by, make sure you bring your furry friend!

Where to Eat

Peggy’s on the Green –  Lounge on the broad, breezy wraparound porch, cocktail in hand. Step into a lovingly restored 19th century dining room. Savor contemporary interpretations of Southern heritage foods and classic American dishes. Sit down to a familiar, casual, satisfying menu influenced by seasonal bounty from area farms and the affinity of beef and mesquite smoke that is the soul of the Hill Country.

Soda Pop’s Grill & Bar – this retro 50s place is located directly across from Main Plaza. Enjoy Burgers made with always fresh beef…Every burger, every time, and crafted with the juiciest ingredients AND the ever-abundant Soda Pops’ Love!  Step back to the 50’s on our corner!
